JEANETTE WILLIAMS / GEORGE JONES Duet
NASHVILLE,
TN (10.5.06) Blue Circle Records released the single Thank You
For Caring featuring the award-winning bluegrass artist,
Jeanette Williams and the legendary George
Jones on September 26th during the
International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) World of
Bluegrass in Nashville.
The
upcoming album is a solo project by Williams titled Thank You
For Caring. She
has recorded 11 projects, including the critically
acclaimed chart album, Cherry Blossoms In The Springtime. She is also included on this year’s IBMA Recorded Event of the Year
album, Back to the
Well by the Daughters of Bluegrass (Blue Circle
Records). The album includes some of the top female talent in bluegrass music.
Winners were announced at the Grand Ole Opry House last week.
Williams
is donating portions of the album sales to the Red Cross for
disaster relief. The
song was inspired by a young girl whom songwriter Dixie Hall met
during a mission to gather relief items for victims of the Hurricane
Katrina disaster. The
child had unselfishly donated her personal hope chest with words of
appreciation “Thank you for caring” which then was captured in
song by Tom T. and Dixie Hall. Ben
Isaacs produced the single and also provided harmony vocals.
Other musicians include Jeanette Williams (bass); Johnny
Williams (guitar); Tony Mabe (banjo), and guest, Aubrey Haynie
(mandolin and fiddle).
Jeanette Williams currently tours with The Jeanette Williams Band.
